July Prayer Calendar

 

Week 1:

 

John 3:17: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 

 

Oh Lord, 

We know you desire that everyone come to the knowledge of Christ our savior. We pray for those whom the enemy has blinded. May they know the truth, and may the truth set them free. Please give the believers strength, courage and wisdom to proclaim your word faithfully throughout our county, nation and world.

 

Amen

 

Week 2: 

1 Tim 1:1-3:  First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 

 

Dear Father in Heaven,

 

We know that every leader you have placed over us is according to your will. Provide them wisdom to rule over us fairly and make laws that are just. Help us to have the appropriate respect for the positions and to live Godly, quiet lives that glorify your name.

Week 3:

 

Psalm 34:18: The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.

 

Father in Heaven,

You were pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities. We know you satisfy the hungry, bind up the broken and give grace without measure. We lift up those who are lost, hurting and in need in our community. May they have provisions for their needs, support to break free of their situation and rest for their weary souls. Please give me eyes to see the broken, a heart of compassion and hands that are willing to serve.

Week 4: 

 

Hebrews 12: 1-2: Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 

 

Oh Lord,

 

Without your guidance, our efforts come to nothing. I lift up the ministries in Hillsdale County, churches, non-profits, homeless shelters and those who seek to do good. Give everyone involved strength to do their tasks, protect them from burnout and help them to honor you though their labors.
