Love INC May Prayer Calendar

How to use the prayer calendar:

1. Each week, you will be praying for specific groups of people, ministries, and facets of our community.
2. At the start of each week, there is a verse and a prayer to guide your focus as you speak to our Creator about each week’s theme. 
3. Each day of the week there is a topic to pray over with your own thoughts, words, and requests.

Week 1:

Matthew 11:28-29: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

 

Heavenly Father,

We know we live in a broken world. However, you can take that which is broken and use it for your glory. I lift up the lost, hurting, and the overwhelmed. Please be near to them, showing your love, provision, and compassion. Open their hearts to Your truth and give them soft hearts to receive Your mercy.

Week 2:

 

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

 

Lord,

Thank you for equipping and empowering your people for good works you have prepared in advance for them to do. Grant strength and endurance to Love INC and the many individuals and organizations who seek to spread Christ’s love to Hillsdale County. Guard them from burnout and refresh their vision so they serve with joy, love, and grace.

Amen.

 

Week 3:

Colossians 4: 5-6:  Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. 

 

Oh, gracious Heavenly Father,

Thank you for placing me in the Hillsdale Community. I lift up the community, that you may do your mighty work. Please continue to bless and strengthen the work of churches and ministries here. Make the people of Hillsdale County soft-hearted toward the gospel, that they may know the truth and the truth shall set them free. Lastly, I ask for strength, wisdom, and opportunity to share the gospel with my friends and neighbors. 

Amen.

 

Week 4: 

Colossians 2:6-7 – “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”

 

Oh Lord,

Thank you for the work of the many ministries around Hillsdale. It’s a joy to see You use these ministries to transform hearts and lives. Please be with the staff, boards, and volunteers, giving them wisdom, compassion for the lost, and passion for the work to be done.
