The Power of Unity in Christ and Prayer

While discussing her need with one of our volunteers, “Joanna” broke down into tears saying how much it meant to her to know that there are people wanting to help.

We value unity in the Body of Christ.

Joanna had never heard of churches coming together to help those in need like Love INC’s partner churches. Understanding that churches are willing to unite to love the community gave Joanna the encouragement she needed to start attending a church again after more than 20 years of rejecting God and the church. Her experience with Love INC showed her that churches can love others outside of their own denominations and congregations.

Prayer is an integral part of who we are.

Our intake volunteers’ most basic ministry is to listen to people, love them, and pray with them. When Joanna learned that we pray over all of our clients, she was so grateful. As she is taking baby steps back to God, she has begun to pray daily. She wanted to let us know that the prayers offered by volunteers at the close of her intake interview, each callback, and follow up has made her feel loved.
